Just received a pretty much mint 95% plus condition Belgium Auto 5 Light Twenty in the mail. I've normally prefer my O/U's or SxS shotguns, but have always desired getting a hold of a nice auto 5, a 20 gauge being a bonus.. If I were to buy a good quality semi-auto. Just something about them....Well... I shouldered it this evening once I got it home, and my goodness!!! what a little beauty:rockOn:The thing practically point's itself, and for an all steel/walnut gun, it feels so light and balances perfectly, (modified choke, 26" vent-rib barrel, pistol grip). I'm addicted to it already, can't wait to try it out on a few bunnies and birds. Will definitely be added to my no sell list! And will post pictures tomorrow evening after work.

I've heard that this can be a hard gun to get a hold of? Are they really that rare to come across, at least in this condition? or do the owners just not usually sell them?

Light Twenty's are not uncommon. Magnum Twenty's come a little harder. What makes yours somewhat more desirable and less common is the 26" MOD choking. Enjoy that gun they are nice.

I really hate to break the news to you GS awt6, but they are absolutely without a doubt just
garbage.
Unreliable, break down, fail to eject, fail to load and if'n the bawrel gits itself tew hawt,
well they bend.
I could very well be suggested to maybe relief yew awf yer pain before yer think'n of
fawl'n in luv with such a tramp.
I'd be prepared tew ponie up maybe a kupple brown wuns and an orange to add sum kolour.....

I'll let lookie offer the first couple dawllers and add another red one iffen you decide to git rid of it before the barrel melts !!!
Sounds like a nice piece and pics would be in order when you can find the time.

Just adjust the friction pieces for either the light or heavy load you will be using and keep the tube lightly lubricated and it will serve you well. The light 20's in any configuration are really nice. My 870 included.

To the OP congrats on the 20ga. These are not a favorite to me but most love them I never had problems finding a light 20 for someone when looking but the sweet 16 now seem to have vanished and when you do find a nice one better dig deep

Few pics... Sorry for quality, taken kinda quickly with iphone...and thanks everyone for the comments !! In hand, I would rate the bluing at 99%, and the wood at 95%. I don't think it's been shot or handled very much.



 
Ahhh, a little bit of OT, haha.....The poor piggy bank lost a bit of weight, yes. But I try and keep a firearm allowance for such purchases. Luckily, I had enough built back up for this one.cou:......but the "soon to be wife" doesn't know that!

I'll double lookies offer if your suffering from buyers remorse or the soon to be wife catches wind of this one.
Have you checked under the front wood for instructions on how to set up the friction rings?
That should add some value in the right circles as well.
I know Dennis has mentioned how to set those rings up, but the instructions are kinda cool.

Fergit Flewchi, I'll dubble me awfer and add a wee bit mawr.

Remember, the steel ring flat side always against the biggun spring.
This gal here I put on light load and fired off some trap loads.
Put the rings back on heavy loads and she worked fine.
Less ker-pow awn the shoulder.
 
No buyers remorse here guys!! and yes the instructions are under the forearm, just missing the last couple words from the last instruction (corner torn away from the sticker).. And I know all about setting the rings.. I've owned a few franchi's over the years.
