how hard is it to find one of these in a 3" model with changeable choke tubes? how much do they usually go for? opinions on the auto 5 would be appreciated as well, i've handled one and liked it very much, i generally like the older guns.

turns out there is a 3" model here locally, belgium, but w/o the choke tubes. who sells bbls for this gun with the choke tubes? best price?

thanks

Some Browning dealers will still have the barrels in as old stock. The model has been discontinued for some time. I think I remember that Western Gun parts in Edmonton (?) purchased all of Brownin's parts for the A5. The jap barrel with chokes will run near or around 500.00 So buy that A 5 cheap. It won't take long to have a 1000.00 tied up. An US company Hastings made aftermarket barrels too but thay were a expensive as the originals. I think Cabella's still stocks them. Remember 3" mag barrels and 2 3/4" barrels are not interchangeable.
cheers Darryl

thanks for the reply daryl, i thought with auto 5's, that you could use 2.75 shells in the 3" bbl as long as you changed a ring (gasket?) or something. is this not so?
