I kind of echo the sentiment of Kirk1701. I would likekly pay that kind of money for a legal copy of the Bren. But it is understandable why it is not available. This stuff comes from the American market, and something like a BAR has a lot more general appeal to their market than an expensive Bren would have.
I might not for a mk2 copy, but for a mk1...... Lots of superfluous flowing lines, and the capability of adding a few options. I have a few mk1, the mk1M transitional, a few mk1M. a mk2, and the 8mm Chinese guns (all Inglis, but all dewats). Of all of them the mk1 is my favorite.Curse the USA's general appeal. The BREN is a smoother, more pleasant shooter than the BAR could ever hope to be, all due respect to the OP. The BREN is the Rolls Royce of the LMGs. I doubt I'd pay $7500 for one though. Seems a bit excessive.
