browning auto5

I hate to diagree Bigredd. I've got a A5 light 12 with a banner 1x4x32 and get 4" groups @ 100 yards using Brenneke slugs out of a 30" FC barrel. I've definitely seen worse.....

I had a 16 bore Sweet 16 that grouped about 4" at 100. It was equipped with a factory slug barrel. I still wake at night wishing I had not traded it off. Oh well I spent most of my money on dogs and shotguns. The rest I just wasted......

Recoil barrels are not conducive to accurate slug shooting... no mystery there. They can be decent shooters at very close range but they are never going to be consistently accurate.

I just test fired a sweet 16 the other day... very nice indeed!;)

I just bought a Remington Model 11 "Sportsman" in 16 bore. It has a 28" MOD barrel and it will be put to work this fall. It was made in 1939. It will replace the Browning. Hopefully I can heal over the trade of the "Sweet 16" Actually it came from BIGREDD's part of the country (Accuracy Plus). Good place to deal.(plug)

cheers Darryl
