Browning B-2000 auto 20 gauge

Hello everyone. Lets say I was going to buy a Browning B-2000, 20 gauge and lets say this gun/barrel was chambered for 3". We all know this gun will not eject a 2 3/4 inch shell reliably. Can a competant guns smith make this barrel handle 2 3/4" shells? Can someone by a 2 3/4 " replacement barrel for this model? How much would a replacement barrel cost new or used?
 
Thank you. I did down load the manuel from Browning which says the gun will likely have trouble with the 2 3/4" shells when using the 3" barrel.
