Browning B-80

Browning was authorized/licensed by Beretta to sell a version of the 300 series that was built to Beretta specs. Most parts will interchange.

Browning was supposed to sell their version at a comparable price to the Beretta, but instead sold at a price considerably lower. This caused Beretta not to continue the agreement when up for renewal.

Beretta's were not readily available in the United States until their military adopted the Beretta pistol as a sidearm. This gave Beretta a solid footing to import and sell their long guns. The Browning arrangement happened before Beretta was established in the States. In the early days it was common to use Browning parts to repair the Beretta shotguns as they were much easier to acquire, now the reverse is true and Beretta parts are used to repair the B-80.
