Could use everyone's help...trying to figure out which is the best model of BAR I should get...I don't really understand all the models...LongTrac, ShortTrac, etc...What I really want is something for deer and moose in a camo finish...any ideas on calibre would be appreciated too!

long trac is for long action calibers.....

short trac....short action calibers.....

the BAR has many caliber choices that fit your needs

in the short trac....308, 300wsm,7mmwsm,270wsm all of thease are good calibers for what you want to do however the WSM calibers are expensive for factory ammo and impossible to find at your basic store (canadian tire,wal-mart) so if you want ammo from anywhere id reccomend the .308 as long as your moose shots arent super long range...if you want a bit more power.....

the long trac!!!!!! also offers several calibers to suit your needs.....
.270,30-06 are good for moose again as long as distances arent crazy....

if you want to drop moose as far as you can see get the 7mm mag or .300 mag the only problem here is close range deer hunting you will be a little bit over kill.....i meen alot overkill:p

i love these guns and i would have many sleepless nights trying to think of the perfect caliber;) if i could afford one right now that is....

to keep it simple i would say .308 or .30-06 would work good for all around use and ammo will be readly available;)

+2 Browning Bar Safari in 308 or 30-06. Loaded with Nosler Balistic tips and big or small it will drop them all!
I have the above in 270 + 243.
