I have a fairly new Browning BL-22 leaver action rifle that won't release the hammer at times. The lever has to be held tight for the gun to fire, but sometimes I have to really squeeze really hard to get it to fire. It went back to the repair center because of this, was gone for a long time, came back, worked fine for awhile, maybe a hundred rounds or so, now it is back to doing the same thing again.
Has anyone else had similar problems, a fix for the problem?

I had the same thing happen on an older BL. there was a lead ring in the chamber that was not allowing the shell to go all the way in and allowing the leaver to close fully, really had to squeezy it. Cleaned it out and Bobs your uncle.
Fun to get apart and back together again, but not impossible! . If it is a new gun give the chamber a good clean with a bore brush, If that doesn't work than send it back.

The issue is with the trigger not engaging correctly because the lever does not come back far enough to lock securely
Back to browning is your only option
