Anyone know if this has been done? Something like the Remington 7615 comes to mind. I have both these guns, looking at the BLR, it looks somewhat possible to make an adaptor very similar to the 7615 to allow the use of AR mags.

I took the magazine from my 7615 and held it steadily in my BLR and was able to carefully feed & chamber .223 snap caps out if it. The Czech Small Arms SA VZ-58 Sporter has an adaptor available to use AR15 mags, I wonder if it would be possible to modify one to fit the BLR?

Make sure you are not going to hit the mag when working the lever...

It doesn't look like you would.

What's wrong with the BLR's proper mag...? (I ask honestly, as I'm unfamiliar)

Nothing really, aside from being around $80 each. I have a Remington 7615 that uses AR mags, there is also the Mossberg MVP bolt action that uses them and the new CSA vz 58 has an adaptor, as well as a few other black rifles. One magazine type, several different guns, is kind of cool.

Found out a company in the UK called Armalon converts BLR in .223 to take Ruger Mini14 mags.
