I agree. My steel receiver BLR in 308 is absolutely mint. I think I'll hold off until I find a ruger m77 RSI or RS tang safety in 308 then send that off to be rebored to 358 win

Yes for Sure as you would devalue that rifle and still have spent the $500 Guess it wouldnt matter if you never plan on selling it !

The 358 Winchester is making a huge comeback this year.... Ruger is also making their Hawkeye in the 358 Winchester too! Both in blued as well as stainless models.

It also seems to have a cult-type following, I include myself in that statement. I would be buying another rifle in 358 Winchester if I hadn't found a nice Remington 700 BDL in 350 Remington Magnum.

My personal opinion is a Browning BLR in 308 Winchester is very common, and can easily be found for anywhere from the $1000.00 to $1500.00 mark, depending on condition. To me, that same BLR would be worth that much in a modified rifle that is now a 358 Winchester.

I guess it's a personal preference, however 308's are as common as VD, 358's seem to bring a premium. Regardless whether they are a factory rifle, or a custom made one......
