How rare in this rifle? Just got one in I trade and was going to sell it and was wondering it's value. Only found a few for sale for over $2000 which pretty far out there I think, mine has the usually bumps and NICs from normal hunting.
Seeing a rifle for sale with a ridiculous asking price does not mean it will sell for that price.
Your rifle would be worth $2000.00 if it was new in box, mint, and never fired.
Gun-Post and Gunnutz can see some stupid asking prices for firearms these days.
In saying that, your rifle in good condition with hunting marks, bumps, and bruises will probably sell for approximately $1200.00-$1500.00 depending on actual condition.
The Browning BLR in 223 Remington is obviously not as common as a 308 Winchester, but isn't made of gold, and there are a few around at times for sale.
It definitely isn't as rare as a 284 Winchester BLR model.
Ask $1500.00 and see what kind of interest you receive. You could ask more, but sometimes this turns people off and you can lose a potential sale.
There are a lot of fools who think there stuff for sale is worth it's weight in gold. In todays tough economy with borderline depression times coming, asking too much is just that, too much.
Good luck with your sale!......
