There is a Browning BLR (308) for sale for $300 but no magazine , I tried Numrich but they are sold out . Anyone know where else they can be found as I would like to get the rifle ...but if I cant get a mag for it ....

If it's a Model 81 (with the flush magazine) you can get them at Cabelas and at Lebaron. If it's pre-81 (the mag protrudes down under the receiver) good luck - as was said, pretty rare.
 
I'll take that BLR with no mag! I have spare mags for each model. And NO, they are not for sale at any price, nor a trip to Hawaii, sorry. Although, with this ever so long lasting Arctic cold air mass here in MB, I might reconsider a swap for the trip:p! I have many BLR's and love them.

If its not a pre-81 meaning it has the flush mount mag, the cheapest place I found a magazine for my 308 is at shooters choice in waterloo Ontario. It was $75 a couple years ago. I found some at lake huron rod and gun in Underwood ON for $80, and Cabelas is selling them right now for like $90. Ellwood epps sporting goods website might have a used one on there. Remember too that all the short action ones are the same. I have one stamped saying its for a .243 and it is exactly the same.

God help you if it is a pre-81, but $300 is a heck of a deal.
 
I have a pre 81 carbine with 2 of the .243/308 mags I bought a spare years ago at about 80 bucks . Check the bargain bins at your local gun shops sometimes they have some goodies hiding in plain sight. Ps they are nice rifles .
