A couple weeks ago I broke the spring in my magazine and found out what many other owners have likely known for some time. There are no replacement magazines available.

I was fortunate that the nice folks at Williams Arms in Port Perry found a similar but not exact spring laying around the shop. I was able to get the magazine working again.

I am wondering what I will do next time? Any others in the same situation? What did you do?

I guess thats because they arent made anymore and we are just trading the remaining ones in existence. If the price is that high there must be demand for them. Would it be worthwhile to have some more made?

I've always wondered why someone hasn't made an after market one for the BLR's as well.
Might not be a high demand for them?

I know if I ever get the chance to purchase one for a meager awffering, I'd grab it
and sqwirl it away like a chipmunk wid'izz nutzs.

It wouldn't be impossible to recreate them. The tooling costs would need to be spread over a decent number to get below the $300 mark that Ive heard thrown around. Browning has to have the tooling laying around somewhere though. Im wondering why they dont just turn it on for a couple of days and pump a few out.

Couple sold at Switzer's Auction a few months back (308's). Sold for around the $250 mark plus tax plus buyers premium. Would have been a good RRSP investment if purchased at the right time!!
