Browning BLR W/O sights

A re-barrel job is what I'm thinking. I've owned one before and the one I'm looking at has no sights. Weird. Thanks for the info.
On a side note, how do you fellas like the rifle? A friend actually found someone up here to work on the trigger on his. Unfortunately, that was 20 years ago. I'm wondering if there's still anyone around who will lighten the triggers up.

I've owned three, all in .308 Win, two with the stick out mag [older model]and one with the flush fit mag [newer model]. All with factory triggers. Found all of them to be reasonably accurate. First two shots touching or very close at 100 yards from the bench with the third shot being a slight flyer as the barrels heat up.
Not meant to be a target rifle but as close to a bolt action with the lockup they have as you are ever going to get from a lever gun, I think. I don't own one at present as I have a .308 Win lever in a 1958 vintage Savage 99 to fill that role.
I like the BLR. Don't know who works the triggers on 'em, though.

Stefan in what calibre is your BLR?
It's vague in my brain but I actually seem to remember some BLRs in the Browning catalog sans sights right from the factory - probably 20 years ago. Some flatter shooting calibers like 284Win (???) -maybe even 243Win - were available without sights I think at one point - maybe only without sights. Not sure though. Could be something else I know that isn't so.
I like my BLR in 358. Real handy thumper. Mine has the steel receiver with the flush bottom mag - which I prefer.
