I am procuring a Browning BPS with two different sized barrels - 28" and 22".

I am interested in using an optic with the shorter barrel. I am still deciding what type exactly but I am looking for input on what is the best mount to use in this case.

I want the optic paired to one of the barrels, so not connected to the receiver in any way. My first dig led me to believe that a cantilever rib mount may be the way to go. Is this right?

Thank you

I did some digging into this and I am now quite sure that I want a rib-based mount. I want to use a reflex style style sight mounted relatively far forward to maximize peripheral vision and maintain the feeling of "pointiness".

Is there a good solid option available, hoping to spend about $50 or so. Low-profile would be appreciated and it would be ideal if it didn't mar the finish.

Sunoptics make a saddle mount for the 12ga bps .check it out on amazon dot ca .

Thanks. That one looks good but I am trying to avoid a receiver mount. I have two barrels and want the sight linked to only one of the barrels.

I ended up finding an option from Meadow Creek Mounts that looks like it should do the trick.
