browning bps shotguns

Yes! My BPS is 100% reliable.

I have a BPS Field model made in 1979 that's in VG condition. I haven't used it much (mostly practice at the trap range) but it has worked flawlessly. My model is somewhat unique because it has a slector on the bottom at the mag tube to allow Single or Repeating action. This is great for trap because I don't need to put the shell into the mag tube or partially cycle the action to load just a single shell. I just pop a shell right into the chamber. Newer models do not seem to have this feature.

The bottom loading is not ideal for single shell loading (as in trap shooting), but the bottom ejection is nice under any circumstance. I can now actually blindly load a single shell into the chamber (without turning the gun over to look at the bottom opening) quite easily. It just took a little practice to get the right finger movement.

My gun is tight, smooth and very solid feeling. I love it!
