I am looking at a BSS box lock to resell on CGN. I need some pointers here.
Condition is fair, sat in a basement for many years. Mechanically it is A1 and very tight.
Single trigger, 3". Has a nice "brown" colour to it that could be easily remedied. The really major cosmetic flaw is te rib is has a 2-3" section that is badly pitted from leaning on a concrete wall and there is a small chip missing from the stock. I ahven't made an offer on it yet but I should get back to the guy in a day or two.

Would $500 be unreasonable? I know in good condition $1000-$2000 is the norm.

I haven't seen the gun but $500 may be low, these are desirable guns and even a shooter like this may be worth more. So many guns on this site are way overpriced that when you see one underpriced like this one it kinda jumps out at you!

I am a day late on this post,
new blue book for 12 g. 350 to 1000 for as new.
Sitying in a basment against cement- I would not
pay more than the 350-400- after all, this is not a
real Browning, made in Japan, thou I will state I have never had one
