So I took my 22lr Buckmark apart to clean it only to realize that the recoil spring and rod did not have the c-clip at the end where it goes into the buffer... I pulled ot apart anyways because It had to be cleaned. It was a bit of a b*tch to get back together after cleaning though.

Anyways I guess what I want to know Is where can I buy a c-clip from? Dont feel like going through warranty if I can just replace it with no hassle.

Thanks.

Same thing happened to my Buck mark rifle and pistol around the same round count (5000?). Brownells had them but I just made due without them. Now there in the 9000 round range. The problem I am having now is the lock washers for the pistol sight mount are cracked and the screws come loose after 500 rounds during a match. Which reminds me to go put some locktite on them.

Cheers

It’s a small c-clip. I checked Brownells awhile ago to get a couple with a order I had and it can’t be shipped out of the USA for some really stupid reason. In fact very few parts for the Buckmark can be.

I just purchased a lightly used Buckmark on CGN and dissembled it for the first time on Sunday - the C clip went flying and got lost immediately. I will be trying to track down a few C clips. I will try Homehardware and Princess Auto thanks for the suggestions.

I took mine apart first time in a big plastic bag. Good thing as that little clip went flying and even in the bag I had a hard time seeing it. It’s a dumb design on a great pistol.

The c-clip on the Buckmark is a common problem. A quick Google search will show many have had the same problem, including me. However, you do not really need it for the gun to fuction. I lost mine (I not even sure it ever had one, bought the gun used). I just crimped that end of the spring slightly and it holds it place while I reassemble the pistol. Once together, the gun functions as it should.

Yup, home hardware had really small ones that even fit my ASR lower receiver. Mind you, they’re not as small as
The buckmark’s, but I wasn’t looking for one that small.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. I literally just took apart my wife’s for the first time; Guess I was lucky it didn’t fly off!
