Browning Buckmark reflex red dot sight?

Hello Group.
As I'm getting older My eyesight is not what it used to be.
Anyone have any experience with red dot sights on a 30-30.
I bought a Browning Buckmark red dot sight. After buying it, I think this
sight is really meant for pistols on the range. I'm having second thoughts mounting
this site on the 30-30. I have a feeling this sight is not suitable for hunting deer
out in the field. The store I bought this damn sight from has a lousy return policy.
I really could use some opinions on mounting this sight on a marlin model 336 30-30.
Thoughts anyone?

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

I've sold that sight to a few customers. One was mounting it on an AR-15 and reported that it held zero over a couple of range visits, another on a 12ga, and he hasn't been back to say it broke. Most of my customers have put them on 10/22s and buck marks.
