Wouldn't have to be this exact sight but the holographic red dot type of sight in general.

I've been considering mounting one of these to my 870. It sees triple duty as a barnyard defender, clay blaster and freezer filler. Where I live shots are rarely past 75m. I guess have three questions:
1) I would rather not drill into the receiver, how good are the receiver pin mounts and do they hold zero well?
2) I see a sight like this being great for short range, reflex shooting at small game and chicken thieves as well as working well when shooting slugs at deer at the ranges I mentioned. The only thing I'm unsure of is how this will work as a sight for targets such as clays and waterfowl. Anyone have any experience with this?
3) If the receiver pin style mounts are any good, where would I find one? I haven't had any luck with the site sponsors I frequent.
