Was at my local gun shop and flipping through the brochures as I was waiting for my turn to be served I found a browning buck mark rifle. I believe it was 18.5 inch barrel with a detachable stock. Would that be restricted, unrestricted? Same internals as the buckmark pistol?

Also I have an ad in EE for a long barreled 44mag or 450marlin lever which got me wondering if we have such long barreled rifles in 22lr that won't brake the bank since the bl22 is almost 900 bucks and the Marlin is almost 600 bucks. I just can't pay that much for a 22 rifle. I have a 22lr Winchester 150 how much would a new 24 inch barrel run?

Also what other rifles take a ruger 10/22 magazine?

Browning Buckmark Rifle has a fixed stock and is NR. CZ 452 ultra lux has a 28" bbl, if you can find one. 44 mag is a pistol cartridge using fast powder, doubt if you'd find a long bbl gun for it. Others will correct me if I'm off the mark here.

There certainly are long guns in .44 . The Ruger M77/44 is a long barreled bolt rifle chambered in .44 magnum, for example.

bandit, you'll find lots of .22s on the EE, all sorts of price ranges, or check out forum sponsors. Prices typically range between $100 for a so-so single-shot to over $1000 for a very nice bolt action repeater such as a Cooper or Sako, derpending on your budget. If you're asking specifically about a lever action (as I think you might be) one fairly inexpensive option is Henry.

The Ruger M77/22 takes essentially the same magazine as a 10/22. The 10/22 clones (Dlask DAR-22, Rock Island Armory RIA-22, etc.) of course take literally the same magazine as a 10/22. The (restricted) Ruger Charger also takes 10/22 mags. Many other Ruger models take similar rotary mags but are not interchangeable for calibre reasons.

The Ruger 77/44 has an 18.5" barrel, hardly long by rifle standards... Most of the pistol cartridge rifles will have barrels on the short side. Your best bet for a long barrel .22 is CZ... The Ultra Lux has a 28" barrel I believe... It is also a quality weapon, well worth the money.
