Browning Buckmark Rifle

I beg to differ on the first reply. With the action being open on both sides and close to your face, you do get occasional spitting back. Never notice it on the pistol as it's farther away from you while firing. Not a serious amount, just enough to spoil the day without glasses. Love the gun anyway, only semi that comes out gopher shooting with me.

Yes, there is some spitting, more with some ammo and less with others. It's consistent enough that I simply couldn't enjoy that gun and had to sell it. A shame, because it was a terrific shooter, very accurate, totally reliable and with a feel of quality.

As Metalbender stated, you are essentially shooting a pistol with a non-enclosed slide while holding it right in front of your face. If you have access to a handgun of that description, try it for yourself in that position and see what you think. Eye protection is a must with most guns just in case something goes wrong. In this case, it will be especially important. One magazine through it and you'll see why.

Well, I've had mine for 5-7 years and didn't know it was a problem but I've only put through a few thousand rounds . I do wear glasses and noticed spatter on them but just put it down to oil . I'm not very sensitive
