I have a brand new browning citori 725 that has never fired a shot. I can't get the barrels on. I have followed all the directions p. there seems to be a little bar at the base of the receiver that is preventing the barrels from snapping into place. I can't figures put how to move this out of the way. Any suggestions?

If that little sliding bar sticks in a position that prevents you from installing the barrels, push it out of the way with your finger. It's not at all uncommon with the 725. If you lube that bar, it will loosen up fairly quickly, and the problem will go away.

I have the same problem. I had it to a gunsmith for some other problem and he happen to fix this one as well. After 10,000 rounds, I still have to manually push the tang in before I can get the barrels on. This is a poor design issue and should never have been a problem. Nothing perfect.
