Hey guys-a family member has approached me asking for advice on which Browning 12ga O/U he should be looking at if he wanted to buy a new one. My experience with Citoris is limited, and having never shopped for one (new OR used) I really have no idea what to suggest. I would have no issues looking at used myself, I believe he is after a new one. Wondering if there are any dealers in the GTA who carry these, a good starting point might be to hold/shoulder and check fit. I'm relatively confident the budget would be in the $2,500 range or at least, -$3,000 which may fall short and/or limit the options. This thread is a starting-point to the conversation-the budget may be out to lunch. I know there are the other 2 "Bs" but based on some very limited research, those eclipse the Citoris $-wise. I make make a case for a used one if anyone is aware of one listed that represents good value for the condition/age. **must have removable choke tubes**

He's about 6'2", and just a big dude overall.

Really appreciate the help guys, my shotgun experience goes back almost 37 years, but 99% of that has been with Remingtons. lol

Looking forward to the replies, thanks for taking a moment..

Citori's are all esentially the same gun just configured a bit different so it depends on what he wants to do with it, for target shooting he might consider the 725 target gun line or Bt-99 line. For hunting there are lots of Citori models to chose from but he may prefer something with a 28 inch barrel, he may prefer a pistol grip over an english style grip and then there are the aesthetics starting at grade one and going up in price from there.

I got my hands on a Citori CXT earlier this year and I'm very happy with it. It was private sale but NIB so the price was right. For a GTA Browning dealer I would contact Al Flaherty's. I've had several positive dealings with them in the past and I'd be looking for a Citori CX or CXT. They might end up a couple hundreds more than he budgeted but are worth it.
