I'm getting a lot of light strikes on my Browning XT Trap lower barrel. I took it apart, removed the firing pins, cleaned it up with carbon remover, and put it back together. Same thing. I've read that this is quite common with the Citori shotguns. I don't know the round count through the gun, as I bought it used, and have been shooting it regularly myself for 3 seasons. I've been using the lower barrel the most. The top barrel/pin still hits hard.

Talking to some others at the trap club, I'm thinking it may be the hammer spring that has weakened.

After a quick Google, I found J & P spring and firing pin kit, and believe they will ship to Canada. It includes new 'performance' hammer springs, firing pins, lever spring, and lower pin spring.

Is this a good upgrade? Or should I just get the spring?
Is there somewhere in Canada to order similar?
If I was to just look for a hammer spring, where do I order Browning parts in Canada?
Any other suggestions before I order the kit?

Thanks. I've emailed them to see if the carry replacement springs. Still wondering if the aftermarket springs are better quality and/or perform better.
