browning citori

anyone have any experience with the browning citori xs special? it has the invector plus chokes and adjustable comb with ported barrels. looks pretty good and i was thinking of getting one.
any thoughts?

I have ordered one myself, the only suggestion I would have is that you need to go out and shoot one, actually shoot two. They come in Low and High post and you should determine which one suits your eye and shooting style the best.

Browning has a number of Citori guns that do essentially the same thing, in the same price bracket. They are the XS Special, XS Skeet and 625 Sporting. Any of them will make an excellent Skeet, Sporting gun. The difference between the models is essentially one of fit (stock specs) and finish. I personally prefer the 625 Sporting. One thing to keep in mind if you buy a model with the adjustable comb is that the adjustment screw for the comb is accessed through the recoil pad. That is a stupid placement, since it makes it almost impossible to shorten the stock. Other than that, they are great guns, and the one that is best for you is essentially a matter of personal preference.

I handled a few at Lebaron the other day. They all seem to be exceptionally well made shotguns!
I'm close to purchasing one myself... now for a name change.
