Browning Cynergy

I have one with 30" barrels. As I have posted before, I am very happy with my camo Cynergy. I bought Carlson chokes for the gun, and I shoot #2 - 3" Black Cloud. It's a great combination.

Thanks folks! I 've looked at the Citori line, and they are great no issues. I liked the idea of the camo so I could hunt with it and have no worries about dings, scatches etc. I've had my fair share of different synthetic waterfowl guns. But have been toying with the idea of going back to an o/u. I've looked at the brownings and beretta lines, both fit well, but I'm concerned their too nice for the marsh/field. Guess I should just pick one and shoot it! As many on here will agree, there's something about a wood stock and blued gun.

I'm a beretta man, and my waterfowl gun was an xtrema for the past decade. But, the more I shot my OUs for upland, the less I liked the semi. So last fall I made the switch. I picked up a 28” camo cynergy on the EE, but I kept the xtrema incase. I took it on one very rainy day hunt and killed two roosters with it wth my first two shots out of it. Pleased with that. A while later I took it for its first and only waterfowl hunt of the year, in Bay of Fundy mud, which is nasty stuff. Everyone is a hero on the Internet, so I won't specifically brag about my shooting stats that day, but I got home and sold my Xtrema. only later did I discover a bit of rust on the breech face and a few specs on the trigger guard (yes, I had cleaned it). Clearly, it's not going to be as corrosion resistant as the Xtrema was (it was a beast - I abused the hell out of it and it never corroded), but I just love shooting it, so I'm willing to put in the extra care to keep the rust at bay. Hope this helps.

I have never owned or shot a Cynergy and I cannot recall even handling one but I have owned and shot several Citoris. What would you say the differences are that you went back to the Citori line?

I prefer the hinge pin arrangement on the Citori, vs the way that the Cynergy hinge system is laid out. I actually found the Cynergy a little awkward to put together compared to the Citori. I really don't like the way that the fore end goes on the Cynergy, it just seems a little flimsy by comparison.

I never owned anything better for geese until i end up getting cynergy.
Installed pattern master chokes and 1"recoil pad,3 1/2" shells(not black cloud or any of that stuff)
Cheapest Remington sportsman as long it has lots of speed and so different results from anything before.

Breaking a OU in a boat or tight blind sucks.

IMO.

Dedicated hunting gun may be better filled by a pump or semi. If for nostalgic reasons you want a break, consider a SxS.

Once again, IMO.
