browning gold hunter

I just bought a bnib browning gold hunter wth a 28 inch barrel
only 3 inch capable
its never been out of the box
I paid $900
did I pay to much
are these a good quality shotgun???
has anyone got any experience with one
what's the good and bad about these guns???

I'd have paid that without hesitation for a NIB Gold Hunter. They are great guns and my favorite semi, I've owned many of them. You won't be disappointed.

If you like it, it shoots good and doesn't break right away .. then it was a great deal ..... if you don't like the feel, can't hit jack, and have problems requiring repair ... it was not so good a deal ... Based on just price .. it was a good deal.

I had briefly owned a used one in 20ga. IMO, it was a very well made and soft shooting semi-auto. You got a great deal on that shotgun.

Generally, if you aren't hunting Waterfowl then you won't need to use even 3 inch shells unless of course you may wish to use that for Turkey. In other words, you haven't given up anything by not getting something chambered for 3.5in cartridges.
