I have this oldie and the previous owner had Bo-Mar sights installed. Works fine other than the front blade is hard to see and someone painted it red. Can inserts be found?

No idea if the company is still in business, or if they can ship to Canada, but way back in the day the place for custom HiPower stuff was Cylinder&Slide...

Sightless.

In order to install the Bo-mar rib, the front and rear sight must have been milled off or removed in some fashion.
First off, I would take off the Bo-Mar rib, as it adds no value to the gun. And even though you might think that the rib might improve the accuracy of the gun, it is only really a nice sight.
BHP original sight are just as accurate, especially the adjustable sight. Since the rib was installed and the original sights removed, the gun just becomes a "shooter" not a collector.
Sell the sight to a 1911 guy or a 686 guy and install a set of adjustable sights...
