I just asked this on another site but November is ending quick!!
I am putting a 4x12x50 scope on a 1957 manufacture Belgian browning L70 safari grade that will have butler creek scope covers on as well.
My question is what is a good base ring combo?
The stores open today locally didn't have a great selection to choose from and the only set that had matching components were a weaver tactical set that put my bell with the scope cover on about 1 cm off the barrel.
Looking to cut it down to about 2-3 mill clearance as with my other guns.
Not picky about a one or two piece base, but do like conventional horizontal split rings.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
