Browning MARAL

Its a nice looking rifle, it sells in Europe and Australia, I have not seen anyone here or in US selling it. I believe its on a same plane field like Blaser, but, cheaper, and I mean rifle with a nice wood.

Not at all like a Blaser, other than the straight pull action. You can't swap out barrels like with the Blaser.

I don't see any advantage owning one of these over a Browning BAR. It sells well in Europe and Australia because semi-auto's are either prohibited or very restrictive in magazine capacity, depending on which country you're in.

Well, we do not have European laws here to own only one firearm and then need 3 more barrels to switch calibers. That's what rules out Blaser for me. And in regards of semiautomatics? We can end up like Australia pretty soon.

Last time I checked Germany mandates a two shot hunting magazine for any semi auto centerfire rifle you carry while hunting. A bet you Austria has similar hunting rules.
I had one two shot capacity magazine for my Voere 2185 rifle. I disassembled the follower and spring and removed red plastic spacer with merely pliers as it was glued in place. I made it capacity of three rounds 30-06 versus two.

It's not a true bolt action. Essentially a BAR with a bolt handle attached and gas piston removed. Likely wouldn't sell very well when you can purchase a BAR and hunt with the magazines full capacity in Canada... for now.
