I am going to be ordering my first pistol tomorrow and i was wounder if you guys could help me out. I have narrowed it do to these two Browning Buck Mark Plus or the Ruger Mark III.

Thanks for your help guys

I shot the Ruger Mark II and liked it. But the don't have the mark II at EPPs. I like the looks of the Browning better. Does anyone have a Browning Buck Mark Plus if so how do you like it?

Which Ruger are you looking at? There are a lot of different configurations...

I really think that you would be happy with either but till you shoot both its hard to know if you will like the grip shape and angle.

The answer to your question is Yes. :) I've had both, enjoyed both, no problems with either. Rod B has the best advice for sure, as most likely you'll prefer one or the other once you've had a chance to handle and fire them.

I own two Ruger MKIII pistols and have shot a Browning.

A couple of things. If you do go with a Ruger (The 5 1/2 bull barrel is the best compromise and is still handy) make sure you go with a stainless model. The Stainless Rugers stand up to more, and seem to have better fit/finish.

Yup they are nice pistols, but are a paint to disassemble.

The Browning. Again stainless if given the option. Overall I actually liked the browning better. It balanced well, and the trigger was better than the Ruger. It felt more like a real gun.

I like both and you don't see my Ruger's up for sale, but.... I do think the Browning is nicer overall.

Ya i bought the Buckmark just have to wait for my ATT to come in and my brother's Glock to come in the i go get her.

Thanks for the help guys
