Browning Police or camp defender?

Hi!
Question for all you Browning experts,
Came across a Browning 12 ga pump 20" barrel with what looks to be an extended mag. Black synthetic stock/ satin blued. Serial number puts it at a 2010. Ribbed receiver, with bead sight. Barrel doesn't look heavy like a mossy 590a1. Seller said it's a police model...but I'm wondering if it a "camp defender"or a "stalker". ( shortest "stalker" on Browning website is 22" though.

Is there such a thing as a "police" model?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly I didn't get any reply to my BPS questions either.

That model is a BPS Hi-Capacity. It's really the model name. In the last few years they only offered it in 410ga.

In 12ga I saw some with 18.5" barrel, 7+1 and some 20" barrel 5+1 IIRC. All fixed cylinder, 3" chamber and black synthetic I believe.
It's not using a mag extension, the mag tube is one piece. The barrel band is further at the muzzle to contact the mag cap. So Hi-capacity barrel won't fit on a Stalker and vice-versa.

They retailed at 600$. Discountinued, Prophet river sold some at 299$!

Great shotgun like every BPS but obviously not many aftermarket parts, if any.
They can take S&J hardware 4-shot DSC (one on each side) and barrel-tube railed clamp made for the 870.

Thanks for the reply! Yup, I ended up buying it. It's exactly as you described the 20". After I bought it I started wondering about the barrel band and interchangeability... oh well, now I know!! Runs nice though. Know of anyone fitting at bayonet lug / heat shield in trench gun style?
