browning rifle value

Hi, I found someone local selling a used Browning A bolt stainless stalker with BOSS in 338 WM it looks like it's a really well maintained rifle no major scratches in the pictures. what would be a fair price for this rifle without a scope. I'm not too good at pricing used rifles and shotguns so a little help would be appreciated

I would value it around $650. Based on half a dozen purchase and sales of a-bolts of various flavours. But it's worth whatever you're willing to pay. How much do you want it? I've "overpaid" on various purchases because I wanted the item and I wasn't going to quibble about $50.

No glass? 5-600 sight unseen? Rings and glass would, of course, increase the price depending on quality of those items.

wow, I wasn't expecting the difference between the asking price and what you guys say the used value is. I know the stainless A-bolt with BOSS retailed for over 1000. From the pictures I've seen the rifle looks to be in fantastic shape, but for what the seller is asking I can get a comparable new rifle.

Hit him with $750 and see what happens. Rifle and rings, if it is in excellent condition, is worth $750,...$850 is pushing it a little bit.

I just looked on the Browning site, historic firearms page, and the last year that rifle was cataloged was 2013 and it listed for $1269.99 US.

I sold a .270 last year for $500.00 and it only had maybe 50 rounds through it.

Depends on what you are willing to pay I guess.
