686 Shooter
Regular
I just purchased a Browning Silver Hunter 28” 12 gauge 3” chamber. It is a beautiful gun and came highly recommended. But alas I am not a smart man. During the initial cleaning I accidentally let the bolt slam closed without the barrel in place!
Of course now there is an small indent on the receiver where the operating handle hit it. I haven't even shot the gun yet and I did this. Of course that mark will be the first thing I see every time I pick up the gun and its going to make me crazy. But enough of my woes.
My question is this, will this affect the gun in any way other than cosmetically? The damage is very small and is not in an area where the bolt slides so it doesn't effect the functioning of the gun at all.
I haven't even shot it yet! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!
