Looking at brown or winchester sporting 12 ga shotguns. Just wondering if anyone owns a browning silver sporting. Looks like a nice sporting shotgun.

I had one for a short while.(Browning Sporting)
Ran a flat or two through it at Sporting clays and Trap.
Nice fit a finish, but it was missing the second piston for hvy loads.
I like the fit and feel of the gun, but after three rounds of sporting clays on the same day she would nee a Good Scrubbing.
I regret selling it , would have made a good grouse getter , but found something else that caught my fancy back then.

I love my Silver Lightning... Cycles and fires any load... Never had a FTE... But I keep my guns clean... If you are a former pump guy, you will be shocked at how dirty gas operated semi's are... I know I was... But they are so smooth when properly maintained.

I own a silver hunter that sees a lot of use for sporting clays during the summer, I clean it at the after every shoot but yes they do seem to progressively throw shells shorter after roughly 200 rounds without cleaning. I love this gun it is super soft shooting and handles fantastic.
I've used other shooters silver sporting models at times and have nothing negative to say about them and when I buy another repeating shotgun there is a high probability that it will be a field model sx3 or silver 20 gauge.
