I have a 17 hmr in the maple. Great gun. Liked it so much bought one in 22lr and 22 mag. But in the heavier barrel, synthetic stock.
Interesting thread. What is it about the T bolts that you guys like so much? I've handled one, and I dig the action, but I hear the trigger kinda stinks, the scope rings are proprietary and super expensive, and the guns themselves are quite expensive for what you get. What makes them worth more than a CZ, or other better value guns?
I don't remember having to buy proprietary rings. That sounds like a Ruger deal. After an hour of my time the trigger is great and light. The extra 10 round mag stored in the stock is cool and I just like the push pull action. I have a CZ rimfire as well but prefer the tbolt as a carry rifle.

I find them very light as well. Even with the heavier barrel. I got my rings with the guns for a deal but don't think there too bad to buy. Ya the spare mag is pretty sweet.

I have the heavy barrelled synthetic stock model, 2009 DOM. The spare magazine which is stored in the stock is a bonus. The T-Bolt rotary magazines are easy and precise to load/unload but I find unloading them manually can be a bit slower than other magazine styles. The trigger on mine is crisp and light, no adjustment from the factory setting has been made to it. The rifle is very light, 6 lbs 9 ozs scoped and loaded with spare mag and sling. I used the low Talley light weight one piece rings for a 3-9x40 scope. The T-Bolt is not as well balanced as my Savage BRJ, I find the T-Bolt is front end heavy. Similary kitted out, the BRJ weighs 8 lbs 6 ozs though.
Love this little rig. The rotary mag is a great idea and fits flush to the stock which is one reason I like it over the CZ. Magazines stick out of those like a sore dink. Had a heavy barrelled savage and can't say one shoots better than the other but one is a lot prettier. The talley rings designed for the t bolt were no more money than any decent ring and they look like they belong on the rifle. One of 2 guns in my "will not sell" category.
