I heard it takes the same base has remington 541? Does anyone know if thats true?

Yes, Leupold #50028 two piece bases fit perfectly and match the finish of the gun.

I have one wearing a Leupold VXII 2-7 in Leupold QR mounts with x-Low rings.

Easily shoots into 1/2" at 50 yards with good ammo, and,
if I do my part, "1 holer's" that you can cover with a dime.

Very satisfied with it. Liked the looks and finish of it more than
the CZ 452.

Yes, there is a set screw to increase/decrease trigger pull weight. Satisfactory at the lightest setting.

The magazine has so far cycled probably 1000 rounds with
no problems ... and I have two "spares" as well.

It likes Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS & Lapua Midas M (both pricey) and Lapua Super Club which is moderately priced. Of the more conventional stuff CCI "Green Tag" works well too !

Obviously quality control is an issue with Browning as well. Friend of mine in another city bought one few weeks ago, and so far, no matter what ammo it is about a 1½" grouper at 50....not acceptable in my opinion!! Bedding has been addressed, etc...no different. He's considering his options as we speak.
