Seriously thinking about a synthetic varmint T-Bolt in .17 HMR but can't find a whole lot of info on the net on this particular rifle . Just like to know how they stack up , mostly in the accuracy department compared to other manufacturers . I can find info on the rifle chambered in .22 LR . Anybody have one in .17 HMR ? I really like the look of the rifle and that's important to me as well as accuracy . They are advertised on the Browning website as having a semi-match chamber . Don't like the look of any Savages , don't want a CZ and already had a Ruger 77/22 WMR .

I got the 17 varmint model with the monte carlo wood stock a few months ago. Wanted a T-bolt since I was a kid. Accuracy is as good or better than my bull barrelled savage and looks a heck of a lot nicer.

I know some people with Browning T-bolts. Very accurate rifles by all acounts. Also very expensive for what you get in terms of materials quality. A lot of people like the T-bolt action as they can work the mechanism easily with their index finger or thumb. Easier and smoother than a typical bolt action.

Thanks guys . cantgetright , is your rifle showing a preference for any particular ammo ? Have you tested for group size at 50 and 100 yards ? I mostly want it for pegging rabbits on the logging roads and shots can't go to 150 yards , sometimes farther .

I've had a few of the new ones, in 22 LR, 17 HMR and 22 WMR calibers. All had great accuracy and seemed to be very well made and assembled. They have one distinct flaw which made me get rid of every one of them: the trigger, it's downright awful and there's no easy fix for it.

I have a late 60's T2 Deluxe, just inherited it. I shoots amazing for not being a $2,000 custom or top end Bench rifle! Looks like it was never used and has the most amazing wood I have ever seen on a production rifle! If the new ones are anything like the one in my cabinet I would have to say they are great! Although I am still partial to the BL22.

Have only tried hornady and winchester so far and the hornady 20gr. have been far superior.
