Need help in pricing a Browning Takedown 22lr 1977 Grade 2 made in Japan, not in perfect shape but not used a lot either, here are some pics. Any help would be great, as I know very litte about these. Interested in buying but have no clue what these are worth as prices seem to be all over the map. Thanks guys.

it is a fancy shooter

I have collected the belgium ones for many years and although the japanese ones take a bad rap I have seen many and used a few so I don't think they function any better or worse than the old Belgiums.
The trick to the Belgium rifles seems to be the higher quality of the hand engraving. I have seen a number of japanese acid engravings where the dogs all looked like greyhounds instead of pointers, pheasants looked like peacocks and the squirrels looked like weasels just because the engravers did not know the dogs or the north american species.
As far as price goes the grade 2 are stil available or were 2 years ago so for this condition (well used) I would look at 50-60 % of new price to be a shooter.
