I have a browning xbolt speed .270. I would like to take the break off for hunting season, was just wondering if anyone knew of a canadian dealer, and if it will throw off point of impact, also size of threads. Anyone with adivce or anything helps!

Most likely to be either 1/2-28 or 5/8-24. Take the brake off and measure the OD. It'll be pretty obvious which size it is.

I'd guess most likely to be 5/8-24 unless its a really thin barrel.

Yes, removing a weight from the end of the barrel will change POI.

Thread protecters came with the rifle as standard equipment when it was new. It’s probably still in the box if you kept it. Any Browning dealer can get one for you, or maybe try Western Gun Parts in Edmonton.
