Browning X-Bolt info

Anyone have one or seen one. I really like the detachable mag and 26 inch barrel 300 win mag stalker or stainless stalker. I have a Rem 700 DM now but the mag gives trouble sometimes. I am hoping the X-Bolt mag is better.

yet to see one...they were supposed to be hitting shelves in May for the Hunter model, with the Stainless Stalkers arriving last in July. Still waiting to see a Hunter

LeBaron has them listed in their fall 08-09 supplement (which i might add is retardedly hard to find on their disorganized site).
...but seeing as its LeBarren i wouldnt be shocked if they were out of stock or on backorder.

I've shot them in several different calibres and other than an ejection issue with one of the .270WSMs that I shot, I thought they were a pretty solid rifle. I'll likely add one to my collection. They are a very nice light-weight bolt action that would definitely be at home in the mountains.

They're supposed to get a limited number into Canada at the end of June or by October.

The problem is Browning is back ordered from 2006. I had to cancel my Browning order because after a year wait all they could tell me is they hope to have it come in before 2011. I was in the top 20 on the waiting list but they were only getting in five guns a year of the type I ordered.

Had a good look and played with a proto-type a couple of weeks back.

Over-all impression: Seemingly, quite an improvement over the A-Bolt !
