Browning X-Bolt or Tikka T3 in 338 Win Mag

OK - so here's another comment that's food for thought. Do you guys feel like the .338 is a noticeable jump in performance over the .300 win mag on game - particularly larger game animals like elk/moose/bear? Say I took 1899's advice and continued to use the .300 win mag for my hunting endeavours - would moving up to something like a 375H&H for the sake of having one and/or grizzly hunting make more sense? What are your feelings on both calibers for NA hunting? I often wonder if people actually use their .375's for anything other than the great bears.

I've used .300 WM quite a bit and my good friend has taken lots of moose, elk and 3 (4?) Grizzlies with .300 Wm. We both used 220gr and (mostly me) 200gr Partitions. It will do the job on anything. My 220gr load chronographed at 2850. My .338 was doing similar with 225's. Don't forget the difficulty in obtaining .338 brass these days.

But it makes sense to get something just for the sake of having it too - it's fun. Maybe look at a .375 H&H or .416 of some sort. I had a .416 RM and it was lots of fun.
