Hi there, Those that have had or are using the X-bolt rifles, can you share your likes and dislikes. Also how have the shots been grouping. I am looking at a 25-06 in the composite stock. Thanks

Nice guns. I have only shot the Stainless versions.

I had a 280 Rem which I sold to a friend who just had to have it. I was nice to shoot but I found it easy to short stroke.

My hunting partner has one in 270 WSM and I would definately say I prefer it over the 280 Rem. Don't seem to short stroke it and I find the recoil to be less (not sure how that is possible with more powder) might be just my perception.

X-bolt

I own one in .338 win mag , I owned an A bolt in the same caliber previously , The recoil pad works great !! the A - bolt used to knock me around quite a bit but the recoil pad on the new x - bolt makes it a lot more tollarable shooting .338 , the drop out magazie is a lot more convenient to use as well instead of the hinged floor plate of the A - bolt , it alos shoots good groups.

I've had my 300wsm x-bolt since spring...nice as hell to shoot. Absolutely love it (yes, the recoil pad is a nice touch). Really, have no negatives i can think of.

Shooting groups under 1" at 100 yds with my handloads.

X 2 But I am thinking about putting a brake on it.

X-Bolt

Sounds good guys thanks for the info. Anybody have any pics of their targets, also what type of ammo are you using? Thanks

got mine the other day. Still waiting on the Talley scope rings. Probably will get around to shooting it later on this fall. Nice rifle
