Browning xbolt

not so much a question… more looking for confirmation for peace of mind. I had my xbolt all apart for the first time for a good cleaning after hunting season, and when I was cleaning it, I noticed the bolt release hinge pin was pointing straight out to the side. It moves pretty easily, so I just turned it so it was pointing forward towards the barrel. That is the proper way it should go, right ?
I never tried putting it back in the stock with it pointed any other way, so I don’t even know if you could even get the action seated in the stock with it any other way. Anyway, I appreciate any input.

I don’t right now. It’s just the little L-shaped pin that the bolt release hinges on. I can find the part online, but I can’t find a pic of an xbolt out of the stock to see which way it’s pointing.it turns very easily… pretty sure it turned after I wiped over it with a rag. I’m pretty sure I have it right…I’m not sure it would actually go in the stock any other way. Just one of those things that’s bothering me lol
