I have one with a thick carbon fibre barrel. It's light and very nice to use. I am well impressed with the way it shoots and functions. I have a red dot scope on mine but want to change to straigt optics. Mine has no sights. Best of all, it functions well with Remington Subsonic ammo. It's quiet and the kids like to shoot it, and it's a great low noise grouse gun while hunting bigger stuff. I have many rimfires and this is the one I want to pick up to go hunting or plinking.

I have owned three, and shot all of the various models.
I had a 44mm on one, a 40mm on another. I always used my scopes as a safety, setting them far enough back so that you couldn't catch the slide in the chops. I wasn't concerned about me doing, but was about others who might use my gun doing it.
A reddot was the way I would go if I did get one again. The scope rail is a weaver design, with rounded cross lugs, which caused me some grief.
As for balance, I had a bushnell 5-15X40 on the one with the Carbon barrel that I had, it still balanced perfectly.

The carbon one is the one to get, trust me, spend the few extra bucks, they are amazingly fast handling.
And none of the glass I used on them make cocking them harder.

I was always curious about those and I finally got to try one that a chap had at our local range. Only put about 20 rounds through it. My brief first impression was that it was not terribly accurate and the trigger was horrible. Take that with a grain of salt since I didn't spend alot of time with it but it was enough to turn me off from buying one.

Thanks guys
Some rather mixed review i would say.
Seems pretty good though over all .
I think this is definatly one i need to try first.
Heres what im currently shooting as my scoped semi.
Its small and light but smaller and lighter would be even better.

I own the same rifle as DOSING and I have had horrible luck with it. I was unlucky with the pick, because I talk to others with the carbon fibre barrel and they have had nothing but great luck with them. I cannot get mine to shoot a 5" group at 25 yds. however. I sent to be repaired on warranty, and it has been over 2 yrs now that it has been gone. Browning does not produce that barrel anymore because of others like me with accuracy issues. Browning is saying now that they are going to replace with a more conventional bull barrel. I am not impressed. If I had wanted a std. bull barrel, I would have bought one. I am anxious to get it back however, as it is the perfect little grouse gun. I do a report when (if?) I ever get it back.

Got a used one about a little less than a year ago. Has walnut for wood and the sporter barrel. When I got it was like new say 99%. Barrel was a little loose(anyone else have this happen) so I paid about $225 US that is half or less than new. Tightened the barrel and what a great little plinker and shooter. Very accurate and not a hecup. Yes it has the COOL factor and is very fun and pleasing to shoot.:D . bbartsch two years?! And yet you wait? Do not let them forget you like that. After 4 to 6 weeks I would have stayed on em like stink on $#:+ WELL you get the picture.

I did stay on on them heavily, it just didn't make any difference TEEPEE. I became very disilusioned with Browning in general after this. I realize they were not making the barrel anymore, but, I thought they could have come up with a solution a lot quicker. It just goes to show you that it is not just our politicians that crap on us here in our country.
