The 2nd annual Burlington Rifle and Revolver Club, "Rifle League Christmas Rimfire Shoot and Dinner" was held last night, with great success! 18 Shooters braved the cold, and prizes were awarded to all shooters. Several CGNs were in the top 10. Top shooters got first pick at the prize table. Here is the course of fire that we used:
50m, 5 Flour filled red/green balloons, 5 points per balloon, shot “combat style” with lights on/off, 4 second snap exposure, 25 possible points
50m, Reindeer target, 10 shots scored as on target, 100 possible points
20m, 10 candy suckers, 1 shot per Sucker, 2 points per hit, 20 possible pts
20m, Christmas Wreath, 1 shot per Ball, 2 points per hit, 20 pts
20m, Christmas Tree, 1 shot per Ball, 2 points per hit, 20pts
20m, "The Gauntlet" (Lit Candle, swizzle stick, push pin, candy-cane, playing card on edge, popcicle stick on edge) max. 20 shots for all targets in this series and scored:
10 points for shooting the flame out, 0 if candle is hit
10 points for cutting the playing card, 5 for just a hit
5 points for a hit on other items
20m, "Cut the Lumber in half" (pine 1x2) max 35 rounds, 2 points for every bullet left over of the 35 possible rounds (assumes a min. 10 shots)
