Hey , a while back some ppl were talking about putting an 18.5" barrel on one of these little guys and getting it reg'd as Non Restricted...

did it ever happen?

of course it would look stoopid :) but the idea of covering the long extending barrel with fake suppressor makes this whole idea work for me.

How much would it cost for a custom barrel to fit the BRS? is it guaranteed to be approved as Non Restricted once the barrels specs are met?

I could really battle some gophers with a setup like that. I'd probably even work in some somersaults and rolls in my standard gopher assualt procedures.

No word back about this yet from the folks at Radom.

I'll give them a call in the morning. Or email them again.

Cheers,

Alex

Cool thx - Olek ,

those photoshop mockups were interesting to say the least. Aside from getting a factory barrel, what would be involved in buying a custom barrel locally ... in Canada?

Is it that hard to get a custom barrel made?

You might want to check with the folks who got a non-restricted beretta storm bbl made. Now I am sure that it would be possible to manufacture one in Canada, but I think that since the factory in Radom is set up for it and has some great hammer forging machines it would be cheaper to get it thru them. When I spoke with them before they said they have made bbl's as long as 16" for the BRS in house. So what's another 2.5" :)

Anyhow I will let you know as soon as I hear something.

Cheers,

Alex

I shot the 16.5" barrel, apparently they could make a 18.5" barrel.
