Thinking about getting one of these.I've read good things about reliability and accuracy.Does anyone here own one or have any first hand experience with it?What is the going price of a used nr model?

I used to own one. They are excellent firearms, very well made, reliable, and accurate enough for what they are. I haven't kept a close eye on them but I would expect to pay 1200-1300 give or take for a used one. The only downside is the 5rd mags..... You could also look at the kriss vector it takes glock mags

Mine started in restricted form, and was incredibly accurate. I have since moved on to the non restricted barrel and shroud. Unfortunately this new barrel hasn't seen a single round yet

Like the other have stated the 5 rounders get a little depressing, but the firearm is tons of fun. I find the grip to be on the large side, but it's nothing a guy with some wood working skills and time couldn't fix.

I have 2 of the older restricted ones and just bought 1 of the last NR barrels/shroud from TI . I've had a verifier fax in the paperwork to make one of them NR, could take up to 2 yrs based on having gone thru this before with a prohib to restricted pistol. I had 25 mags but down to 10 which I'll be keeping. Mags if you can find them go for $100, maybe more. UZI and 9mm AR mags are diff in shape and to me can't be converted.
Basically the Poles took the UZI and fixed all of it's shortcomings:
-Closed bolt design (wich is far more accurate than open bolt design)
-1911 style magazine button compared to the bottom catch
-Empty magazine hold open
-Ability to install integral accessories
-Ergonomic bolt catch
-Empty magazines fall by themselves, they do not require to be ripped out.
On the down side:
We can see that the Polish army and police are hiring big dudes....
-Large pistol grip
-long and non-adjustable stock (2 modes only: closed or deployed)
-Very ackward safety selector
I am a very medium sized guy with small hands. I am very comfortable and efficient with my BRS. Like everything else, it is a question of training. With a bit of training, magazines changes are performed in a flash.
Overall, great little SMG, i compete with it in CQB matches. In +- 3000 rds never had any malfunction:

Re reclassification, I have a HKP7M8 which was registered as a prohib. I had a verifier measure it and it was just over the 4" length. It was sent off and never heard a thing until 1.5 yrs later when I got a call from woman who was clearing out her in basket and found it. Still had to send some more pics and answer some questions. Finally after 2 yrs it was completed. Go figure. My case was probably a one of. Hoping I don't run into the same thing with the BRS but who knows.
