I picked this BSA hunter up at a pawn shop a few years ago. I understand the hunter (not the majestic with the recoil reducer) is fairly rare as it is, and one in 7x57 is kind of like hens teeth. Anybody have an opinion of a reasonable asking price, if a guy were to decide to sell it? There is quite a bit of honest hunting wear, but the bore is in great shape. It has parker hale rings that fit into the integral bases as well.

I had one just like that in 6.5 X 55 but it was in better shape and I sold it for $550.
It shot very well, just had to make room for others.

Hope this helps.

It's not a featherweight and that reduces the value. The bluing is badly worn and the rear sight with it's folding leaves is gone. The lack of the BESA Recoil reducer is common on the non-featherweight Hunters and the 7x57 chambering is by no means rare.
In the condition it is in I would put the value in the $300.00 range providing the bore and chamber are in good condition.

Its well used but has a ton of character......I think it would move well at 450$

It all depends how long you want it to around the EE for. Seems a well priced 7x57 does not hang around very long.
